Inspiring a love for fitness and even better, inspiring a love for ones self is the greatest reward I have as a fitness instructor. Group fitness is so much fun! You’re in it together; a team pushing to get through an intense hour. And when you’re done you know you worked hard and you feel great! It’s that feeling that keeps you coming back. You know you’re doing the best you can and you love your self for it!
I started teaching 20 years ago as an assistant dance teacher to help pay for my own dance lessons. Then while at college pursing a degree in Health Science with a minor in Wellness Promotion I began teaching group fitness. I have been AFAA certified since 1996 and have also been certified through NSCA, ACE, Flirty Girl, Physical Mind Institute Mat Pilates, Body Pump, Body Flow and Yoga Fit; and my newest adventure had been getting certified in WillPower and Grace. I love motivating you to move your body, keep fit and have fun!

She has studied at various dance schools around the Lehigh valley and eventually moved her dancing career to Hollywood FL where she began competitive dancing with Laurie Duffy Dance Explosion. Around 14 years of age she was already teaching her first class, Rhonda continued her teaching career over many years and eventually expanded back to the Lehigh Valley to find her new found passion…..Pole Dancing. Rhonda began pole dancing in 2005 and by 2009 she was ranked one of the Top 12 in the East Coast by The United States Pole Dance Federation. Shortly thereafter PoleKatz emerged and is now the most elite pole dancing team in the Lehigh Valley featuring in shows and events.

Fitness has always been a part of my life. The challenging part is keeping it a part of your life as your life changes. For me, coming from a sports background, it is a challenge to figure out how to keep yourself moving when the sports part of your life has ended. For many other people, its when they have a baby, start a new job, or even retire. Thats when I stumbled upon Group Exercise. Ive been teaching group exercise since the first day I was allowed to, when I was 18 and earning my bachelors degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from West Chester University. Group exercise allowed me to stay fit, while still making it social, and keeping a schedule. Even now since I've graduated college and switched career pathes, there is still always room for group exercise.
Group Ex has kept me strong and fit through training for anything from marathons, cycling events at the veledrome, and even a Tough Mudder. I've worked with all different age groups and fitness levels and really love sharing my knowedge to help others keep fitness in their everyday lives!

My love and passion for keeping physically fit started at an early age and has continued throughout my life. Participating in fitness classes has played an important part of my life. I really enjoy the excitement and energy that the classroom environment has to offer. Even though I was a stay at home mom with three great children, now ages 27, 21 and 12, I have always made sure I found time to take a fitness class. At the age of 45 I decided to get certified sothat I would be able to share my enthusiasm and love for fitness with others.
My certifications include SCW Group Exrciser, Piloxing, Ripped, Kick Boxing, Mad Dog spin and Advance Training in Bosu, Boot camp and Body Works.
My aspirations are to bring the excitement, enthusiasm and high energy that I experience into my classroom. I want every student to walk out of my class feeling like they had the greatest workout ever, along with having a lot of fun, and for them to be anticipating their next class with me. My fitness goal is to share with every student, at any age and any fitness level, the wonderful feeling of being Fit and Fabulous. Come join my class and see for yourself exactly what Fit and Fabulous looks like at the age of 50, me!

_I began dancing at a very young age and have been trained in Ballet,
Pointe, Jazz, Tap & Modern dancing. As if all of my dance classes
weren't physically demanding enough, I was also a cheerleader in High
School and in College where I also found the art of Pole Dancing. I
began taking Pole Dancing classes with Rhonda almost 3 years ago and
she has been such an inspiration. She has helped me to learn everything
that I know about Pole Dancing and has given me the knowledge to start
teaching. Pole Dancing is such a wonderful way to get in shape and have
fun. There is also such an amazing feeling I get not only dancing for
myself but teaching others. I am also part of PoleKatz Dance Team and
enjoy doing events with PoleKatz because it shows people how truly
beautiful the art of pole dance can be. Although having a dance
background is a wonderful asset to Pole Dancing, it is important to know
that former dance experience is not necessary to join in the fun at
Sweat Like A Girl!

_Striving to be my
best is what makes fitness such an addiction for me. Whether on the
field, at the gym or hitting the pavement for a run, all forms of
exercise have been a fun and rewarding lifestyle.
Being active for years and being told I needed surgery to fix a frozen shoulder, 5 years ago I decided to go non-traditional and use Pilates as my way to heal instead of surgery. The experience of taking fitness and adding nutrition to heal my body gave me the incentive to go the next level and help others, which lead me to become a certified Group Fitness Instructor.
I enjoy teaching classes that have energy and focus and that make you feel empowered when you finish. I strive to provide that experience in every class. The most rewarding aspect of being an instructor is that I can inspire and encourage others daily. I love to lead women to become empowered not only in their fitness classes, but also in their daily lives, helping them to conquer life with enthusiasm and strength! Since becoming an instructor, fitness has turned into a true passion for me. I hope to expand my career into the nutritional field in the future so I can provide clients with transformations inside and out. I look forward to inspiring you and building a relationship that becomes a true friendship.
